“Skin Stories”

Inspired by the award-winning “Scars that write us” installation at the President’s Young Talents 2018 Exhibition held in Singapore, this commissioned art piece for the Shiseido Life Quality Beauty Center entitled “Skin Stories” present gold-leaf skin conditions as abstract gestures and shapes, blown like petals into the wind. Gold acts as a metaphoric embellishment to scars, skin pigments, vitiligo marks and treatment stains, adding a new dimension to the way skin conditions are thought, alongside the threads of charcoal stains, brush-marks and sculpted shapes representing our life stories leaving their marks on our skin.
